On March 20, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed three ministers.
Parliament supported the dismissal of Minister of Education and Science Sergei Shkarlet. 295 people’s deputies voted in favor, one opposed and five abstained. Oleksiy Goncharenko, MP from the European Solidarity faction, announced this on Telegram.
Also, the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Pavel Ryabikin and the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov were dismissed.
Goncharenko noted that Fedorov will soon be appointed to a new position. He will take the chair of the Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. His candidacy will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada at the next meeting.
Also, according to Goncharenko, the Parliament prematurely terminated the powers of People’s Deputy Mikhail Zabrodsky. 307 people’s deputies voted for this decision. Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to return to military service. Goncharenko writes that they plan to appoint him as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
Recall, on March 18, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet submitted a letter of resignation to the Verkhovna Rada. At the same time, the main teacher of the country made a mistake in the application for dismissal from his position.
