The G7 has pledged to continue military support for Ukraine

Representatives of the G7 countries decided to increase economic pressure on Russia while supporting Ukraine.

The foreign ministers of the G7 countries said they would continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, and also promised to increase economic pressure on Russia. On Saturday, May 14, Reuters reports.

“We will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine as long as necessary,” G7 foreign ministers said in a joint statement following the summit in Germany.

The ministers also vowed to increase Russia’s economic and political isolation. In addition, the G7 countries will continue to work to reduce the global food shortage caused by the war in Ukraine.

As reported, on May 13-14, a meeting of Foreign Ministers of the G7 group was held in Weissenhaus (Germany). It was attended by senior diplomats from the UK, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, the US and the European Union.

Earlier it was reported that the G7 intends to allocate 30 billion euros of aid to Ukraine.
