The Russian representative believed that the Turks should be expelled from their country, and a cross should be erected over the Hagia Sophia.
The deputy of the Russian State Duma, Semyon Bagdasarov, publicly proposed to occupy a part of Turkey until it “recovers from strong earthquakes.” The politician said this on the air of the Russian propaganda program Solovyov Live.
He argues that first it seems necessary to “divide the influence” of Turkey in Ukraine, and then expel the country itself from Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
The MP believes that such changes can be achieved through a coup in Turkey.
The politician also suggested erecting a cross over Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and singing prayers in Aramaic and Russian.
“Yes, let’s use the crisis (earthquakes in Turkey – ed.) … This crisis should be a collapse and the annexation of our territories to us,” summed up Bagdasarov.
Recall that Turkey suddenly began to block the clearance of sanctioned goods to Russia. Transit of “parallel import” products stopped.
