Russia’s military losses over the past day, March 17, amounted to 880 Russian soldiers, officers and mercenaries.
Also on Friday, the Ukrainian military destroyed five tanks, seven armored fighting vehicles, eight artillery systems, two multiple rocket launchers, four vehicles and special equipment. Also shot down 14 enemy drones. This was reported on March 18 at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to March 18, 2023 were approximately:

- armored combat vehicles – 6 thousand 830 (+7) units,
- artillery systems – 2 thousand 560 (+8) units,

- aircraft – 305 (+0) units,
- helicopters – 290 (+0) units,
- UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 2 thousand 159 (+14),
- cruise missiles – 907 (+0),
- ships/boats – 18 (+0) units,
- automotive equipment and tankers – 5 thousand 404 (+3) units,
- special equipment – 259 (+1).
In the morning summary of the General Staff for March 18, it is reported that the Ukrainian military repelled more than 100 attacks by Russians in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky directions. On the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And in the areas of Kleshchievka and Ivanovsky in the Bakhmus direction, enemy assaults were also repelled. And in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the Russian army continues to defend itself.
Recall that in the Bakhmut direction, soldiers of the 10th mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft from the Polish Piorun (“Perun”) MANPADS. And another Su-25 was destroyed in Bakhmut by a serviceman of the 93rd separate motorized brigade “Cold Yar” on the pseudo “Alan”.
