On the night of March 17-18, the Russian military launched 16 kamikaze drones across Ukraine.
The attack began around 21:00, Iranian-made strike drones of the Shahed-136/131 type were sent from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and from the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. On March 18, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
The military noted that the forces and means of the Center, East and West air commands destroyed 11 kamikaze UAVs. They were shot down in the central, western and eastern regions.
Explosions during the attack of drones were heard in the Dnepropetrovsk region. The Voskhod air command reported that the attack Russian UAVs were targeting important critical facilities. Explosions in Novomoskovsk were confirmed by the mayor and said that the State Emergency Service was working on eliminating the consequences of the attacks.
Recall that on the evening of March 17 and the night of March 18, air defense forces worked in the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk regions. The massive attack was aimed at the western regions of Ukraine.
