Ukrainian fighters shot down 10 of the invaders’ 11 drones. A UAV hit an industrial infrastructure facility.
On Friday, March 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 100 Russian attacks in five directions. This is confirmed by the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on Saturday, March 18 on Facebook.
During this period, the enemy launched 34 air strikes. In particular, 11 of them use the Shahed-136 UAV.
“10 of these UAVs were destroyed by our air defense units, but one, unfortunately, hit an industrial infrastructure facility. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the civilian population. The enemy also launched a missile attack and made 57 attacks from MLRS. Veletenskoye, Kherson region,” the message said.
The main objective of the enemy in the previous day, as before, remained attempts to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The invaders focused their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the direction of Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Miners.
Volynskoye, Polesskoye, Severskoye and Slobozhansky directions
Operating environment without significant changes. In the past 24 hours, the enemy has carried out mortar and artillery shelling in the districts of 14 settlements. Among them are Starikovo, Volfino and Solyaniki of the Sumy region, as well as Strelechye, Glubokoe, Staritsa, Volchansk, Kolodyaznoe, Krasnoye Pervoi, Kutkovka, Dvurechnaya, Zapadnoe, Ternovaya and Quiet in the Kharkiv region.
Kupyanskoe and Limanskoe directions
The previous day, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to break through the defenses of our troops. The enemy fired in the areas of 13 settlements along the contact line, namely, Vesely, Gryanikovka, Olshana, Krokhmalny, Berestovoye, Dibrova and Andreevka of the Kharkov region; Novoegorovka, Nevsky, Belogorovka, Novoselovsky and Chervonopopovka in the Luhansk region, as well as Novoselevka in the Donetsk region.
Direction of Bakhmut
The enemy did not stop the offensive operations in the city of Bakhmut. At the same time, our defenders repulsed the attacks of the invaders in the areas of Kleshcheevka and Ivanovsky. Near the contact line, the enemy shelled such settlements as Minkovka, Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, Zheleznyanskoye, Vasyukovka, Bakhmut, Grigoryevka, Ivanovskoye, Ozaryanovka, Aleksandro-Shultino, Predtechino and Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region.
Avdeevskoe, Maryinskoe and Shakhterskoe directions
The enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of the settlements of Kamenka, Nevelskoye, Avdeevka, Maryinka, Severnoye and Pervomayskoye of the Donetsk region. The districts of 21 settlements came under heavy enemy fire. Among them are Kamenka, Avdeevka, Vodyanoye, Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Maksimilyanovka, Maryinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novoselka, Zolotaya Niva, Paraskoveevka, Thin, Northern, Pervomayskoye, Nevelskoye, Pobeda, Novomikyuktovrainka, Negroskoye, Novomikhaitovrainka, Donnoyorska, Nevelskoye, Nevelskoye, Pobeda, Novomikhaitovrainka, and Neuvsky .
Zaporozhye and Kherson directions
The enemy continued to defend. The enemy carried out intensive shelling in the settlements of Malinovka, Gulyaipole, Zheleznodorozhnoe, Belogorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Novoandreevka, Maly Shcherbaki, Kamenskoe, Olgovskoe, Krasnoye, Charivne, Orekhov, Novodanilovka and Stepnoe of the Zaporozhye region; Vremka and Novopol, Donetsk region; Good Hope in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Dudchany, Kachkarovka, Happy, Cossack, Ivanovka, Nikolskoye, Dnieper, Beregovoye, Veletenskoye, Kizomys, Mikhailovka, Republican, Novoberislav, Kherson, Novoselka, Shilova Balka, Odradokamenka, Odradokamenka and areas of Khersonskaya Razlivka.

Rocket and artillery units hit two enemy personnel concentration areas and one enemy air defense deployment position.
