The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov held an online meeting with the United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley and National Security Advisor to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan. The parties discussed the situation at the front and the needs of the Ukrainian army. This was announced on Friday, March 17, by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“Ukraine’s representatives informed the allies in detail about the current situation at the front, the fighting in the most difficult areas, as well as the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army. The parties discussed further giving to our country of the necessary assistance, in particular equipment, weapons and ammunition,” the message said.
The President of Ukraine shared his thoughts on the liberation of Ukrainian lands.
The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlyuk, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander of the operational-strategic group “Khortitsa” Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander of the operational-strategic group “Tavria” Oleksandr Tarnavsky, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk and Deputy Head of the OPU Roman Mashovets.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine received high-precision bombs from the United States, which have a higher range compared to gravity-drop bombs.
