Sources of opposition publications say “there will be no problem with the results of the presidential election.”
The Kremlin has developed a manual for the next election in 2024. The document plans to “increase indicators of support” for the current leader of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, among Russians. This was reported on Friday, March 17, by Meduza, which positions itself as an opposition, citing its origins.
According to the administration plan of the President of the Russian Federation, in the next election Putin will be portrayed as the “guardian of traditional values”.
In particular, it is planned to bet on the rhetoric about Russia’s “moral superiority” over other countries. The media cited Putin’s recent statements in which he accused the “collective West” of allegedly “unleashing” a war in Ukraine and “colonial policy” towards other states.
Even before the start of the great Ukrainian-Russian war, it planned to impose on voters the image of Russia as a “state in itself”, which allegedly preserves traditions and has little contact with the outside world. Today these developments have been corrected: the theme of the “Russian world”, to which many countries of the former USSR are said to belong, should be part of the concept of the “state in itself.”
The compilers of the manual made sure of that there will be no problem with the results of the presidential election – after all, in Russia there is allegedly a “growing demand” for conservatism. Putin, according to the plans of the authors of the manual, should surpass his own results in 2018, when he received 76.69% of the vote with a turnout of 67.54% (in the 2012 election, the numbers that it was 63.6% of the vote with a turnout of 65.34%).
According to sources close to the Kremlin, the “development” of the annexed Ukrainian territory was discussed.
The Russian authorities did not give up the idea of annexing Georgian territories as well.
It will be recalled that in January this year it was reported that in Russia the local Central Election Commission is preparing for the presidential elections, although they are still more than a year away.
We add that the Russian media reported in October 2022 that a new presidential term is being prepared for the 70-year-old Putin.
