Mass searches take place in regional gas companies owned by Dmitry Firtash on March 17
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Economic Security Bureau (BEB) are conducting a large-scale special operation on the gas wing of the DF-group. In particular, guests are received in Kyiv, Lvov, Rivne, Vinnitsa, Kharkiv, Transcarpathia, Ivano-Frankivsk and all other offices of the Regional Gas Company.
Law enforcers are investigating a scheme of illegal withdrawal of funds paid for consumed gas to controlled structures. The damage reaches billions of hryvnias, which ended up in Firtash’s pockets. By the way, today Naftogaz appointed new management at several regional gas companies, which has already started work.
Searches are carried out under the sanction of the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv as part of criminal proceedings for the misappropriation of state funds. The RHC believes these suspicions are far-fetched.
The company said about “psychological pressure on employees” during the investigation, and the searches themselves are considered “unreasonable.”
In our opinion, the criminal case was initiated only with the aim of putting pressure on the enterprises that JSC NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, represented by GAO Chornomorneftegaz, is trying to seize in a raider way, the statement says.
