The Russian occupation troops continue to conduct offensive operations in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Shakhtyorsky directions.
Over the past day, March 16, the enemy made more than 70 attacks on them. On the Kupyansk and Limansk directions, the enemy is trying to break through the defenses of our troops. And in the Bakhmut direction, the Russians do not abandon attempts to storm Bakhmut. The Russian army unsuccessfully advanced on the Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Miner directions. In the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the invaders are on the defensive. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for March 17.
Aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine yesterday inflicted seven strikes on the areas of concentration of the occupying forces, and units of missile forces and artillery hit five command posts, five areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment, a composition of fuel and lubricants, two radar stations, an electronic warfare station and anti-aircraft missile system in firing position.
The enemy launched five missile and 18 air strikes on Friday, as well as 73 multiple rocket launchers. As a result of another shelling of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region, six civilians were injured, more than 20 houses, a school and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Recall, the American Institute for the Study of War said that the pace of the Russian offensive in Ukraine has slowed down compared to previous weeks, and the Wagner PKK forces trying to capture Bakhmut are close to climax – that is, the weakening of attacking capabilities.
