A successful attack on the positions of the occupation army of Russia was carried out by servicemen of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Gandzyuk, which is part of the motorized infantry troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On March 15, units of the 59th brigade attacked and destroyed the Russians in three positions near Avdiivka. The Russian army suffered heavy losses, in the battle four Russian servicemen from the 2nd battalion of the 110th motorized rifle brigade surrendered:
