Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang. The diplomats discussed the principles of territorial integrity, as well as the peace formula of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Kuleba’s conversation with Qin Gang came amid rumors that Chinese leader Xi Jinping will pay a visit to Moscow next week. In addition, the media wrote that either before or after the visit, he would have a conversation with Zelensky. But so far, none of these plans has been confirmed in China. It should be noted that Washington has repeatedly recommended that Beijing refrain from supplying weapons to the aggressor country, Russia.
At the same time, the representative of China expressed the hope that Moscow and Kyiv will hold peace talks. The head of the Foreign Ministry of the Celestial Empire, in a conversation with Kuleba, also expressed concern about the escalation of the war in Ukraine. Kuleba, in response, noted “the importance of the principle of territorial integrity.”
