Russia found a downed American drone – media

The aggressors did not even hide that they wanted to get the US technology that was in the downed MQ-9 Reaper – its electronic “stuffing” and engine.

A downed American MQ-9 Reaper drone was found in the Black Sea. This was reported by the propaganda publication ForPost, citing a source in the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday, March 16.

The drone was said to have been found underwater on the day of the incident on March 14, 60 kilometers from Sevastopol.

“An underwater robot dived to the bottom of the sea and discovered the MQ-9 Reaper at a depth of about 850-900 meters. Not far from this zone is the deep-water branch of the South Stream gas pipeline, ” said the source. .

At the same time, the aggressors did not even hide that they wanted to get the US technologies contained in the downed drone.

“For the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the internal electronic “filling” of the drone, as well as its engine, is of interest. In turn, he said (the interlocutor, – ed.), a scenario is not ruled out .where US forces will attempt to destroy the drone, using their own means before lifting it to the surface,” the statement said.

It will be remembered that on March 14, a Russian Su-27 aircraft shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone, which was conducting reconnaissance in the international airspace over the Black Sea.

Russia said it had nothing to do with the downing of the drone – the device “flew with violations” and fell due to sharp maneuvering. But today, the US European Command released a drone video showing an attack by Russian Su-27s.
