The Pentagon released a video of the incident with a Russian Su-27 aircraft and an American drone over the Black Sea.
The video shows how the plane drains fuel in front of the drone.
On March 14, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet collided with an American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone over the Black Sea.
On impact, the drone fell into the water. The US Air Force in Europe accused Russia of dangerous maneuvers around the drone that took place in international airspace.
Subsequently, the White House announced that the United States would continue to fly over the Black Sea. Washington noted that the drone attacked by Russia was in international airspace. Washington also sees no reason to contact Moscow about American drone flights over the Black Sea.
The decision to shoot down the MQ-9 Reaper drone was made in the Kremlin, NBC reports, citing its own sources. Now the Russians have already arrived at the site of the downing of the drone and are trying to find its wreckage.
