Yuriy Kamelchuk, a people’s deputy from the government “Servant of the People”, was acquitted by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.
The servant was accused of false declaration. VAKS dropped the charges due to lack of evidence of the presence of an offense in his actions.
The verdict can be appealed within 30 days to the VAKS Appeals Chamber, the deadline for this case expires on April 5.
According to the prosecution of NABU and SAP, the people’s deputy was obliged, but did not enter into the electronic declaration of the person for 2020, information about the rented apartment in Pechersk in Kiev – from October 2019 to October 2021. The cost of the apartment is more than 3.6 million UAH. In addition, the people’s deputy did not provide data on the outstanding loan to PrivatBank in the amount of more than 48 thousand 864 dollars.
The decision was made by judges Vera Mikhailenko, Sergei Moisak and Timur Khamzin. The motives of the court can be found after the publication of the full text of the judgment.
