Hopefully we can talk about everything, and if we decide to apply for NATO membership, we get positive notices from all countries, “Linde stressed.
As noted by Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto, his Turkish counterpart has also previously spoken positively about the membership of the two Scandinavian countries in NATO.
“In this process, we need patience … These things are always connected to politics. Most problems are always solved,” Haavisto said.
Recall, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke out against the intention of Sweden and Finland to join NATO. He considers the Scandinavian countries “guest houses for terrorist organizations.”
