India called on the G20 countries to take their minds off the all-out war in Ukraine unleashed by Russia.
This statement was made by the representative of India Amitabh Kant at the G20 summit. He urged the world to focus on global poverty, saying that Europe has focused on helping Ukraine and distracted from the global increase in poverty and debt problems. It is reported by Sky News.
In addition, this official downplayed the consequences of the bloody war, the victims of which were thousands of Ukrainians. And he called the Russian unprovoked invasion “one war.” He emphasized his statement that 200 million people are on the verge of poverty.
According to him, poverty around the world has affected nutrition, health status, and learning outcomes. The representative of Delhi noted that therefore people are stunted and emaciated, “and we are just worried about one war between Russia and Ukraine”
The world must move on, and Europe must find a solution to its challenges, he said.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump made an anti-Ukrainian statement, saying that he could allow Russia to seize part of Ukraine in order to avoid a full-scale war.
