Pyongyang’s new missile tests are taking place against the backdrop of US and South Korean command and staff exercises.
North Korea on Tuesday, March 14, launched two surface-to-surface ballistic missiles during a demonstration firing. This was reported by the Interfax agency referring to the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea.
It was noted that the missile unit of the armed forces of North Korea launched medium-range missiles in Changyon (South Hwanghae province).
In Pyongyang, they stressed that they would “absolutely destroy the enemy” in the event of a conflict.
It was previously reported that on Tuesday morning, the DPRK launched two short-range ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan.
According to the South Korean military, the tests took place between 7.41 and 7.51 (00.41 and 00.51 Kyiv time). The missiles flew at a distance of about 620 km.
It will be recalled that on March 13, the United States and South Korea began the Freedom Shield military exercises, which Pyongyang condemned and called “preparation for an aggressive war.”
