Boeing has entered into two deals with Saudi Arabia for the production of up to 121 Boeing 787 Dreamliners powered by General Electric’s innovative GEnex engines.
Saudi Arabia has ordered a 787 Dreamliner from US aerospace corporation Boeing 121 for a new commercial airline, Ar-Riyadh Airlines. This was announced by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“Boeing today entered into two deals with Saudi Arabia to build up to 121 Boeing 787 Dreamliners powered by General Electric’s innovative GEnex engines. These landmark deals with Saudi Arabia are one to create a new airline and the other will expand the existing fleet – is estimated at about $37 billion,” he said.
The White House plans that more than 140,000 jobs will be created in the United States thanks to the agreements.
