“Soldiers defending Ukraine in the Donetsk direction received 55 dugouts made of corrugated steel. Such shelters were made by Metinvest as part of the Steel Front military initiative, founded by Rinat Akhmetov to help the personnel of the military,” the report said.
The company recalled that the fortifications made by Metinvest enterprises are prefabricated structures made of corrugated steel, which, when properly installed (one and a half meters underground), can withstand artillery shelling with a caliber of up to 152 mm.
“The shelter is provided with air communications, racks for weapons, with primary and backup exits on the surface. The shelter is equipped with a field oven so that the fighters can warm up, heat food and dry their clothes. About 2 tons of steel are needed to build a shelter,” said the press. – Metinvest service.
The company emphasized that mobile shelters are provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine free of charge.
“Currently, the company’s steel capsules are protecting the military in the regions of Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Pokrovsk, Zaporozhye and Zhytomyr,” the press service said.
