Canned beef, included in the humanitarian aid package, does not meet the requirements of GOST.
In the Kirovohrad region, the head of a business is suspected of supplying low-quality canned food worth 13.7 million hryvnias. They were found in a humanitarian package for residents of front-line regions, the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
According to the investigation, in May last year, the suspect supplied goods of insufficient quality for 13.7 million hryvnias as part of the state procurement of durable food products.
“We are talking about the supply of 26,000 cans of canned beef, which was used in the construction of humanitarian bundles intended for regions where the conflict continues,” the report said.
The technical characteristics of canned stew do not meet the requirements of GOST and other requirements in the field of circulation of food products.
The head of the business was informed about the suspicion of misuse of funds on a particularly large scale.
It was previously reported that five trials were opened against the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military District for the theft of humanitarian aid and grain during the war.
