Stavka members heard reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commanders of operational-strategic groupings of troops on the current situation at the front.
President Volodymyr Zelensky held a regular meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander. A decision was made to further hold and protect the city of Bakhmut, according to the website of the head of state on Tuesday, March 15.
It is indicated that today the members of the Headquarters heard reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commanders of the operational-strategic groupings of troops on the current situation at the front.
“After considering the course of the defense operation in the direction of Bakhmut, all members of the Headquarters expressed a common position on the further maintenance and protection of the city of Bakhmut,” the message said.
The meeting also reviewed the supply of arms and ammunition to the front line units. The rates and volumes of receiving equipment and weapons from the partners of the allies and their further distribution to the troops were discussed separately.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense urged not to believe fakes about the battles for Bakhmut. Their goal is to sow in Ukrainian society a discussion about whether it is worth defending the city “at any cost”, as well as distrust in the people who make military decisions.
