The invaders committed their war crimes during the occupation of the Brovarsky district of the Kiev region.
Ukraine files charges against two Russian soldiers. The attackers are suspected of sexual violence against a four-year-old girl and gang rape of her mother at gunpoint in front of her father during the temporary occupation of Brovarsky district. This was reported by Reuters.
According to the materials of the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, identified by the publication, the incidents were part of a series of sexual crimes committed by Russian soldiers of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade in four houses in the district of Brovarsky in March 2022.
The Russian Defense Ministry did not respond to a media request for comment. Reporters also received no response from the brigade.
The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office said the Russians were using sexual violence as a deliberate terror tactic.
Most of the atrocities happened on March 13, when the military, according to prosecutors, in a state of intoxication entered the courtyard of the house where the young family lived. The father was beaten with a metal pot and then forced to kneel while his wife was raped. According to the documents, one of the soldiers told the four-year-old girl that he would “make a woman out of her” before she became a victim of violence.
The family survived, but prosecutors say they are investigating additional crimes in the area, including murders around the same time period.
Both soldiers were snipers, ages 32 and 28. The first died, and the youngest, Evgeny Chernoknizhny, returned to Russia. However, when reporters called the soldier’s phone, a man who identified himself as his brother said the suspect had died.
Prosecutors also said that after the alleged attack on the girl and her parents, two soldiers entered the nearby home of an elderly couple, where they beat them and also raped a 41-year-old pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl.
In another area where several families lived, the soldiers took everyone into the kitchen and raped a 15-year-old girl and her mother. All the victims survived, they were given psychological and medical assistance.
The media points out that the current ruling regime of the Russian Federation is unlikely to extradite the suspects. However, convicts in absentia may end up on international watch lists, complicating their movement.

Remember that the Russian military in Ukraine often engages in sexual violence, and this is part of Russia’s “military strategy”.
