The next meeting of defense ministers of Ukraine’s partner countries, known as Ramstein, will take place on March 15.
On the eve of the next meeting in the Ramstein format, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov spoke on the phone with the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin. On Monday, March 13, the head of the defense department wrote this on his channel at Twitter.
“On the eve of the meeting in the Ramstein format, I spoke with my good friend, the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. We compared our notes on cooperation,” said Reznikov.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that they exchanged views on cooperation and the path to Ukraine’s success.
Reznikov called the support of allies sincere, which inspires him with great hope for the future.
“Unity becomes efficiency on the battlefield,” added the Ukrainian Defense Minister.
Lloyd Austin Twitter said that he discussed with Reznikov the priorities of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine.
“The United States will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary,” the Pentagon chief wrote.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky called a priority for Ukraine in terms of weapons. And in order to speed up the delivery for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is necessary to publicly discuss what is missing, the head of state explained.
Recall that Reznikov participated in an informal meeting of defense ministers of the countries of the European Union, where they discussed the acceleration of the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities hope for the immediate delivery from European partners of new air defense systems and ammunition, including a million 155-mm shells.
