The Verkhovna Rada registered a statement proposing to officially define the political regime of Russia as “rashism”.
The initiators of the adoption of such a bill were 42 people’s deputies. It is under consideration by the profile committee. Among the authors are “servants of the people”.
People’s deputies defined the essence of the term rashism as follows:
This is a new kind of totalitarian ideology and practice that underlies the regime that was formed in the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and is based on the traditions of Russian chauvinism and imperialism, the practices of the communist regime of the USSR and National Socialism.
The signs and consequences of rashism are also given:
-
the cult of strength and militarism;
-
self-aggrandizement of Russia and Russians through the violent oppression of other peoples;
-
the use of prohibited methods of warfare;
-
systemic commission of war crimes;
-
mass executions, murders and so on.
In the statement, the people’s deputies call on the international community to take real measures that will make it possible to hold the military-political leadership of Russia accountable for committing the crime of aggression against Ukraine and its people, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of genocide.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky responded to a petition to rename Russia to Muscovy and everything Russian to Moscow.
