Metropolitan of the UOC-MP Pavel Lebed (known as Pasha “Mercedes”) during the service intimidated his flock with the “apocalypse” and “people in priestly robes” who allegedly would come to desecrate churches.
So Pavel spoke about the alleged consequences of the fact that the Moscow Patriarchate was forced to leave all the premises of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, according to the video from the surveillance camera.
From this, the metropolitan came to the conclusion that the Apocalypse begins with “Ukraine.”
On March 29, we, the monks and more than 200 people, will have to leave our home in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The grandchildren of the revolution, the leaders, the persecutors of the Church of Christ today are hiding behind the main thing. Perhaps … not probably, but definitely the Apocalypse begins with Ukraine, – he convinced the believers.
During the service, the metropolitan declared that “there are people who, having put on priestly clothes, dream of defiling everything that is possible.” Hinting that we are talking about the priests of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The Minister of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said earlier that there are about 800 exhibits on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and that they will be revised. He also believes that the sanctioned persons from the UOC-MP should first of all leave the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
In particular, we are talking about Metropolitans Anthony and Pavel, Minister Tkachenko notes. At the same time, the monks can stay in the premises of the Lavra, but in what format it will be decided later.
Recall that the contract for the gratuitous use of the UOC of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is terminated from March 29, 2023. This applies to all premises rented by the UOC in the Lavra.
