Belarus and Iran signed a comprehensive cooperation plan for 2023-2026. The document was signed by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and the head of the ruling Belarusian regime, Alexander Lukashenko, the press service of the latter reported on Monday, March 13.
The plan covers the political, economic, consular, scientific and technical fields of interaction, as well as education, culture, art, media and tourism.
Also during the visit, an action plan was signed on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Iran, agreements between governments in the field of quarantine and plant protection, transfer of people sentenced to prison to further serve their sentences.
In addition, a protocol was signed to amend the agreement on automobile relations. Earlier, the Ministry of Transport announced that Belarus and Iran will switch to a permit-free road transport system.
The memorandums were signed between the ministries of culture of the two countries, the State Standard and the Iranian National Organization for Standardization, co-chairs of the Belarusian-Iranian commission on economic cooperation in the field of trade.
Remember, on March 1, Lukashenka visited China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The self-proclaimed leader of Belarus said he fully supports China’s “peace plan”.
