A Russian director came to Kyiv to shoot a film about children from Bakhmut.
We are talking about Alexander Molochnikov, who invited children to take part in the casting for the filming of a feature film about the unfortunate orphans who were left without a mother in Bakhmut during the war.
This is a film by a Russian director who filmed the series in Russia last year, and now lives in New York and has an American passport.
Oleksandr Molochnikov plans to shoot his feature short film about children from Bakhmut in the coming days near Kiev. He is already in Ukraine with a cameraman and is trying to quickly assemble a Ukrainian team and shoot in a real location – a destroyed house. Here is just the information that the director is Russian, why he is mostly hiding from potential participants, – Ukrainian director Irina Tselik wrote on Facebook.
Tselik is a laureate of the Shevchenko Prize. She told how it became known. Tselik learned about this situation from the Ukrainian production designer Ivan Levchenko, to whom Molochnikov approached with an offer to work on the project.
Vanya “turned on the fool”, received the script and recorded their audio conversation. According to Molochnikov, he has the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine and received press cards for himself and the cameraman,” says Tselik.
In 2022, Molochnikov filmed the series “Monastery” – a Russian-made web series.
“Rakurs” said that the “Oscar” in the category “Best Documentary Film” received a film about Russian politician and opposition leader Alexei Navalny – “Navalny”. The Ukrainian film House of Splinters was also presented in this nomination.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the forced evacuation of children from zones of active hostilities. Compulsory evacuation of children by force will be carried out when accompanied by one of the parents, a substitute person or another legal representative.
Children caught in a war zone cannot take care of themselves. Therefore, the entire responsibility for them lies with adults. Refusal of parents or guardians to evacuate the child is not allowed. After all, we are talking about her life,” the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories stressed.
The basis for the mandatory evacuation is now the decision of the regional military administrations, agreed with the military command and the Coordinating Headquarters on the implementation of the mandatory evacuation of the population.
Only Bakhmut falls under the relevant criteria for the application of forced evacuation of children from war zones.
