Representatives of the Georgian authorities almost repeat the theses of Russian propaganda, Oleg Nikolenko said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejects the insinuations of the Georgian authorities about the preparation of Ukraine for a coup d’état in Georgia. The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Oleg Nikolenko, wrote about this on Facebook on Monday, March 13.
He noted that in the past few days, the Prime Minister and the leadership of the Georgian parliament have made many unfriendly statements about Ukraine.
“Almost verbatim repeating the theses of Russian propaganda, representatives of the Georgian authorities accused Ukraine of preparing a coup in Georgia, dragging it into a war with Russia, sending forces to provoke a war civil. has nothing to do with reality. They are looking in the wrong place for the enemy of the Georgian authorities,” said Nikolenko.
He emphasized that the statements of Georgian politicians cannot withstand the strong friendship between the Ukrainian and Georgian peoples.
“We greatly appreciate the support of the Georgians during the time when the Ukrainians are fighting for their independence. For its part, Ukraine has been and will remain a friend of the Georgian people, whom we wish not to stop building the future of Europe, ” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
Earlier in the day, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian politicians to refrain from interfering in his country’s internal affairs.
