Czech President Petr Pavel will visit Ukraine in April 2023.
The Czech leader agreed on this today, March 12, during telephone conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Czech Republic Marketa Rzehakova, CTK reports.
Zelensky invited negotiations with Pavel and was interested in them taking place as soon as possible after the inauguration. He wanted to congratulate Pavlov on taking office.
They discussed a possible visit of the president to Ukraine and agreed that it would take place in April. It was also about the support of Ukraine from the Czech Republic in the coming months, – said Rzhekhakova.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter said that he had informed Pavel about the situation at the front. The heads of state also spoke about the movement of Ukraine to the EU.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that he agreed with the head of the Czech Republic to continue to actively cooperate. The support of the Czech Republic is important for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.
Recall that in January, former General Peter Pavel, who held the highest military post in NATO, was the head of the Alliance’s Military Committee, won the presidential election in the Czech Republic. He actively supported Ukraine after the Russian invasion and after the inauguration they also promise to help the Ukrainian people.
