Stephanie Grisham, former White House press secretary and communications director in former President Donald Trump’s administration, spoke Saturday about her administration’s “very comfortable” working relationship with Fox News.
Grisham, during an interview with CNN’s Jim Acosta, spoke about the news following startling revelations about network stars seen in documents from the $1.6 billion Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit.
The former publicist, after Acosta noted a perceived “hand-in-hand” working relationship between the two sides, said Fox News stars such as Judge Jeanine Pirro, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson would call her to the White House.
“If I didn’t get back to them right away, they would call the president and then I would talk because I didn’t talk to them,” Grisham said.
He later recalled a City Hall event and said he spoke directly with Fox News executive Suzanne Scott, who wanted to “make sure it was full” at the venue.
“I worked side by side with them and this happened at the recommendation of the president. If they didn’t like something, we had to call Fox right away and ask them to fix it or try to do a new story, etc.”
