Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of March 10, the Russians have carried out 15 massive missile attacks, during which 821 cruise and ballistic missiles were fired.
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov stated this during a meeting with his Norwegian counterpart Bjorn Arild Gramm, which took place during his visit to Kyiv.
Reznikov also noted the effectiveness of the NASAMS air defense system, which Norway has joined in providing to Ukraine.
We know for sure that every 10 applications of the NASAMS system … means 10 downed aggressor missiles, 10 surviving buildings and infrastructure, as well as hundreds of saved human lives, Reznikov emphasized.
For his part, Gramm said that Norway:
- decided to allocate 7.5 billion dollars. to help Ukraine over the next five years. The corresponding program has been submitted for approval by the parliament;
- plans to transfer launchers, fire control points and missiles to NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine;
- joined a broad international “tank coalition” to help Ukraine with a main battle tank. The training of personnel is already underway and in the near future the first tanks will be in Ukraine.
