The Russian mobilized, who were sent to war with Ukraine, are subordinate to the commanders of the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR, where they will suffer huge losses.
The Russian service of the BBC devoted its extensive editorial material to this issue.
According to the mobilized, they were promised service in terrorist defense, and not on the front line. However, they are still transferred to the combat zone, and already subordinated to their local command. According to them, the commanders of the units of the fake DPR and LPR do not take into account the losses among those mobilized from the Russian regions, using them as “cannon fodder” in the assault on Ukrainian positions;
Such a resubordination of the mobilized and their involvement in the assaults is not a unique practice. But it is also criticized by the military of the self-proclaimed republics. The BBC interlocutor, the commander of one of the units of the “people’s militia” invented by the Russians of the LPR, speaks very sharply about the incoming replenishment, however, blaming not the most mobilized, but the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Rollers with complaints from the mobilized began to appear immediately after the first detachments were on the front line. By March the complaints were almost daily;
The assaults on Ukrainian positions themselves, to which Russian mobilized from the terrorist defense are sent, do not lead to success. The frontal attacks of the Russian units on the Ukrainian fortified areas, built over the course of eight years, are expected to lead to high losses among the attackers.
First, in these sectors of the front, the inhabitants of the DPR and LPR who were the first to endure mobilization were the first to die en masse. When the offensive potential of these units was “worn down”, they began to be replaced – first by regular Russian military men, then by volunteers, and then by mobilized ones. The senselessness of such maneuvers has been repeatedly noted by both military experts and pro-government Russian military commanders.
Usually in the videos with complaints, the mobilized complain about the same things: poor provision, beatings, neglect of their problems by the command.
By March 2023, complaints were an almost daily stream. So, on Monday, March 6, mobilized from the Belgorod region addressed the high command. Senior Lieutenant Oleg Kasumov – this is how a man in military uniform introduced himself in the video, standing against the background of a group of his subordinates – said that he was refusing to carry out the tasks assigned to him, since his platoon was suffering losses for the third day.
According to the officer, his connection with the mobilized was supposed to ensure the territorial defense of the Belgorod region, which they did in Shebekino until the first days of March. And then they were attached to the First Army Corps of the self-proclaimed DPR. Kasumov claims that the mobilized were taken to Donetsk in 14 hours, their personal belongings and military tickets were taken away, after which “they drove completely unprepared personnel to storm the villages.”
We do not refuse to perform combat missions, but only as part of the armed forces of the Russian Federation,” the officer said. – But we were driven immediately upon arrival to storm the villages. No reconnaissance, no communication, no reconnaissance. We don’t have a link to the area, we don’t know the maps, in general, some kind of crap is complete. Personnel are dying, that’s all that’s left of my platoon.
