Parimatch appealed to President Volodymyr Zelensky about the National Security and Defense Council’s decision to introduce restrictive measures.
Parimatch LLC made a statement about the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) to apply restrictive measures against the company.
“Parimatch is a brand created by Ukrainians, developed by Ukrainians, where Ukrainians work and own. In March 2021, the company received licenses for betting and online casinos. More than 850 million UAH were paid in taxes for two years , fees and royalties to the state budget of Ukraine,” the statement said.
It is noted that since the beginning of a full-scale war, the Parimatch brand has ceased operations on the territory of the Russian Federation, banned the use of the brand, the company’s technical solutions and any presence on the territory of the aggressor country. This was confirmed by the official conclusion of the international law firm Mayer Brown.
It was also reported that in December 2022, the company won a reputational lawsuit against media “that manipulated and blatantly falsified facts to damage the reputation of the business.”
The company stressed that Parimatch LLC on a permanent basis helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Terrodefense Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the State Border Service, the Special Operations Forces, public and private charitable foundations. The total amount of assistance is more than UAH 500 million.
Parimatch LLC said that after the start of a large-scale raid in the Russian Federation, individual employees of the SBU created pressure on the company.
“The work of payment systems is blocked, the banking system and its managers are influenced. The basis is created for the opening of criminal cases in serious articles, such as high treason, activities in collaboration with company employees and partners,” the statement said.
It was also noted that “manipulative and inaccurate information is repeatedly disseminated in social networks and media, data about the company and its owners are falsified in order to damage the reputation of the business and cover the company in a negative light. “
In addition, “unfounded attempts were made to place holding companies on sanctions lists.”
“Dozens of holding companies are continuously added to these lists, without any justification without investigations or court decisions. In fact, economic and psychological terrorism is carried out against the company and employees “A Ukrainian company, which is a taxpayer and employer for more than 2,000 Ukrainians, is being pushed out of the Ukrainian market by blocking any activity,” the statement said.
Parimatch added that during the entire period of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the company never received requests from the SBU regarding clarifications on the termination of the franchise in Russia.
“Contacts with SBU officials have only the format of threats, intimidation and extortion. These actions make it impossible to do business, help the army and citizens of Ukraine. Postponing their priority tasks , the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine for several months used their own powers, martial law in the country and they put a lot of pressure on a licensed operator,” the company said.
They believe this is a planned action against Parimatch LLC and the team, the Parimatch brand and against the entire Ukrainian business as a whole.
The company said it applied to the President of Ukraine with a request to instruct them to check the stated facts and take appropriate actions on all illegal violations of the SBU.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions against 120 individuals and 287 legal entities. Restrictive measures were applied to legal entities, including Russian betting companies, lottery organizers, hippodromes, investment and entertainment companies, etc.
Earlier, Zelensky implemented three decisions of the National Security and Defense Council regarding sanctions against Russians.
