The crossing from Norwegian partners will help improve road communication between Ukraine and Romania.
In the Chernivtsi region, road workers began to install the first bridge, which was passed to Ukraine by Norway. This was reported by the State Agency for Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
It was noted that the crossing from Norwegian partners will help improve road communication between Ukraine and Romania.
“A temporary bridge will be placed in the village of Glinitsa on the road T-26-07 Kitsman – Storozhinets – Glubokaya – Oprisheny with an entrance to the Vadul-Siret checkpoint,” the report said.
The current bridge on the T-26-07 road was declared unsafe. By the end of 2021, the crossing will be dismantled. Due to the massive invasion of the Russian Federation, the repair of the structure was suspended. From metal structures, specialists will assemble a 120-meter crossing. Preparations have begun to repair the approaches to the temporary bridge.
As reported, Norway provided 10 temporary bridge structures to Ukraine. The first batch arrived in Ukraine on January 11.
Recall that a batch of temporary bridges from Sweden arrived in Ukraine.
