Kyiv and Oslo began work on a training mission for Air Force pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine has started negotiations with Norway regarding the organization of training for Ukrainian pilots. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video message on Friday, March 10.
“We are starting communication with Norway about the possibilities of a training mission for our pilots,” said the head of state.
As reported, on March 10, Zelensky met in Kyiv with Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram. During the meeting, the President of Ukraine positively mentioned Norway’s recent decision to allocate 7 billion euros for a five-year support program for Ukraine.
Gram said that Norwegian authorities, in cooperation with the United States, will send two NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine.
