She was fired because she was kissing her husband in a bathing suit. A teacher from the Rivne region, fired from a kindergarten for an “immoral” photo in a bathing suit, sued 120 thousand hryvnia and was reinstated at work. It took six years.
Vita Chereshnevskaya worked as a kindergarten teacher in the village of Bugaevka, Rivne region.
She was fired by management in 2017 after she posted a photo on Instagram of her kissing a man while on vacation, which seemed “immoral” to kindergarten management.
Then this story was actively discussed in social networks, since many did not understand what exactly was “immoral” in the picture, reports Public.
Chereshnevskaya was fired immediately, on the first working day after her maternity leave.
She was reinstated through the court, but when she came to be reinstated, the director immediately fired her again, this time, in addition to “immoral behavior”, she was charged with “truancy” (the teacher still does not know why “truancy” was added).
On March 6, the Radivilovskiy District Court declared the dismissal illegal.
It was hard to get over it. I went to the court session when I was pregnant, and there were different emotional situations, because they wrote all sorts of nasty things to me, but I knew that victory would be ours, – said Chereshnevskaya.
In any case, the director will have to find a common language for re-dismissal, but probably already in front of the investigators. The court appealed to the prosecutor’s office under Art. 172 (gross violation of labor legislation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the presence of signs of a criminal offense in the dismissal of Chereshnevskaya.
