The rally will take place on Friday, March 10, when the parliamentary majority intends to formalize the withdrawal of the draft law on “foreign agents.”
Protesters in Tbilisi announced a new action on Friday, March 10. It was reported by the Interfax agency.
It is noted that today a plenary session will be held in Parliament, where deputies from the parliamentary majority intend to formalize the withdrawal of the draft law on “foreign agents” adopted in the first reading.
“The place where the protesters were supposed to gather (at the entrance to the parliament) was accidental, because the representatives from the parliamentary majority had to go through a demonstration,” the agency insisted.
The previous day, a rally against the law on “foreign agents” near the Georgian parliament building ended peacefully.
At the same time, calls were made from the podium near the parliament on Thursday for the resignation of the government and the calling of early parliamentary elections.
It will be remembered that after the adoption on March 7 in the first reading of the law on “foreign agents”, protests took place in the center of Tbilisi, accompanied by clashes with the police.
March 9 ruling party Georgian dream announced the withdrawal of the bill.
