North Korean leader urges military to prepare for ‘real war’

On Thursday, North Korea fired at least six short-range ballistic missiles simultaneously into the Yellow Sea.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered the military to intensify training for a “real war” after observing fire drills. On Thursday, March 9, Reuters reported with reference to the North Korean news agency KCNA.

According to the North Korean leader, the exercise proved North Korea’s ability to fight “real war.”

Before that, the South Korean military reported that the DPRK had launched a short-range ballistic missile towards the Yellow Sea.

At the same time, KCNA said that the unit, which had prepared for “strike missions”, fired “powerful volleys at the intended water” and demonstrated the ability to “counter the actual war.”

Earlier, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said Pyongyang was fully prepared for any military conflict with the United States.
