The death penalty for high treason has been introduced in Belarus.

Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko on March 9 agreed on a law “On changing the codes on criminal liability”, providing for the death penalty for military personnel and officials for so-called state treason. This was reported by the state propaganda telegram channel “Pool of the First”.

It is noted that this document provides for the extension of criminal liability for treason committed by an official or military personnel. This applies to all persons holding public office. At the same time, the only punishment for this “gosmen” is the death penalty.

As you know, in the spring of 2022, a law on the death penalty for an attempted terrorist attack was adopted in Belarus.

Recall that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU reported that the Belarusian military is trying to refrain from participating in the war against Ukraine, but in the end they will be forced to obey Lukashenka’s criminal orders and may be involved in the invasion.
