The head of European diplomacy has called for increased aid to a country suffering from Russian aggression.
The new missile strikes in Ukraine once again demonstrate the Russian Federation’s intention to completely destroy the country’s civilian infrastructure. This was said on March 9 by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“The last bad news is the Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. It has been disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid again. As far as we know, 40% of the population of Kiev is without electricity, with many black holes in the electricity supply. system across the country. This shows that Russia is once again trying to completely destroy the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine,” the head of EU diplomacy stressed before the start of an informal meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Development Council in Stockholm.
He noted that it is necessary to continue to provide the means for Ukraine to defend itself.
Borrell added that the issue of restoring Ukraine, financing its reconstruction and using frozen Russian assets for this is on the agenda.
“The ministers will discuss all the ways and means we can mobilize to support the reconstruction of Ukraine,” the politician said.
It will be remembered that on Thursday night, the Russian army carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine. The enemy launched 81 missiles of various types, including six daggersand eight attack drones.
