The woman was one of the leaders of the pro-Russian protests in Germany and organized the country’s largest motor rally in support of Russia.
A German court will consider the case of Russian woman Elena Kolbasnikova, who openly supported Russia’s war against Ukraine. He faces up to three years in prison, DW reported on Wednesday, March 8, citing a Cologne court representative.
It was noted that a citizen of the Russian Federation was charged under paragraph 2 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Germany, because he publicly supported a mass invasion of Ukraine during a pro-Russian demonstration on May 8, 2022 .
“Russia is not an aggressor. Russia is now helping to end the war in Ukraine,” the Russian woman said then.
The publication said that according to international law, launching a war of aggression is a crime, and those who agree to it can receive three years in prison in Germany. But the most likely punishment for such an offense is a fine.
It is worth noting that Kolbasnikova was born in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro. He is one of the leaders of the pro-Russian protests in Germany and works with local right-wing politicians.
At the same time, according to the Reuters investigation, he is one of the pro-Kremlin agents of influence in Germany. In particular, Kolbasnikova was involved in raising funds for the occupying army. He also organized the largest car rally in Germany in support of Russia.
Recall that in early September, a rally was held in Germany against the supply of arms to Ukraine.
