The army of the Russian Federation is trying to capture previously de-occupied villages in the Luhansk region.
Now the fighting is going on near the settlement of Stelmakhovka, which was liberated from the invaders, and is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, the enemy is trying to attack in the direction of Makeevka-Nevsky and Kuzemovka-Novoselevskoye. These settlements do not actually exist, because the Russians destroyed them with their constant shelling. On March 8, Sergei Gaidai announced the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration in Telegram.
According to the head of the region, the enemy is trying to reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. However, the Russians understand that they cannot move quickly. Therefore, they try to advance where there is at least some success. Attack aircraft operate with the support of artillery.
Gaidai noted that the Russians have no strategic successes in the Kremensky, Svatovsky, Belogolevsky directions, and there are also no huge advances.
Recall that in early March, the head of the Lugansk OVA, Serhiy Gaidai, reported that the most difficult areas were Kremennaya and Belogorovka. The enemy is trying to push through the Ukrainian defenders in these areas and get at least some success there.
