The Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces “North” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its page on the social network Facebook reported that the military, the high-profile video of the execution of which has recently spread on the network, is a fighter of the 163rd battalion of the 119th separate brigade of the Chernihiv Oblast Troop Troops Oleksandr Matsi.
It is noted that on December 30, 2022, in the vicinity of Soledar, Matsievsky and four other servicemen, during the movement, took on an oncoming battle with superior enemy forces.
At about 12 noon that day, visual contact and communication with them disappeared, and reinforcements could not break through to their position due to continuous mortar shelling and heavy small arms fire.
We do not fully know the details of this fight. It is not known who died and how, it is not known how Alexander was captured, unfortunately, there were no witnesses left, all dead or missing. Regarding the video: Alexander’s mother, his son Mikhail and the servicemen of his unit recognized their brethren in these frames, the Troop Command notes.
Subsequently, an exchange took place and the bodies of the dead Heroes were transferred to the Ukrainian side.
On February 14, 2023, Nizhyn was able to see his compatriot on his last journey. A mother was left without a son, a son without a father. But there will be a memory of how worthily, without the slightest fear, the Ukrainian soldier perceives his death for the sake of the Motherland.
Alexander Matsievsky was born on May 10, 1980 in Moldova, where his mother Praskovya Mikhailovna, who worked as a technologist at the Chisinau shoe factory, was sent by distribution.
There he graduated from high school and an electrical engineering college. Then the family returned to Nizhyn. Until February 2022, Matsievsky worked in his specialty, and from the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion he went to the Nezhinsky TCC and joint venture, but he could not immediately get into the army.
He helped make fortifications, guarded at the checkpoint, prepared Molotov cocktails, and insistently turned again to the assembly point. On March 11, he was assigned to the Nizhyn Territorial Defense Battalion. Alexander diligently studied military affairs, he was appointed a sniper, – they said in the command and control of the forces of the Troop.
It is noted that in December, when the battalion was about to leave for the east, Matsievsky did not tell his mother that he would go to the zone of active hostilities – he did not want her to worry. When he said goodbye to his mother, he thanked her for giving birth to him.
Their last conversation took place on December 29 by phone.
After Sasha’s words, “Mom, I will never surrender!” Praskovya Mikhailovna understood, her son was at the front. Then there were hard days, Sasha didn’t call, his phone didn’t answer, – they say in the department of forces of the Troop.
And only on the evening of January 7, a message came – “the subscriber is back in touch.” After the words of his brothers that Sasha is no longer there, life was divided into before and after … And then again the tests, the identification of a native child in the Kiev morgue, an overview of all those ball holes that ended the life of the Warrior, the department adds.
On March 6, a video of the execution of a Ukrainian soldier by Rashists was published on the network, which quickly became viral.
My mother recalls that when the video of the death appeared on the Internet, my heart sank again. It was my Sasha, and then a call from his son, he shouted with tears, “I saw how my father was killed!” – noted in the message. – The mother knows her son well and his act, which has spread all over the world, clearly characterizes him. She is sure that her brothers will avenge him.
