Bolivian reported a 40 percent increase in COVID-19 cases over the past seven days compared to the same period prior to the eight weeks of de-escalation of the sixth wave that occurred in December.

In his weekly report, the Minister of Health Jason Auzasaid there were 1,020 cases nationwide in the ninth week of the year, about 203 more than the previous seven days, signifying a “slight increase” of 40%.
