The Kremlin confirmed on Tuesday that China’s “invisible” hand behind the Ukraine conflict is actually the United States.
“This hand is not invisible, it is visible. It’s a hand USAThis was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov at a daily press conference.
According to Peskov, “Washington does not want this war to end.”
“Washington will do everything to keep the war going,” he said.
Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang has previously noted that “an invisible hand is causing a crisis in Ukraine”.
At the same time, Qin denied that his country was selling arms to Russia and defended it. China made an “independent judgment” and “choosed the world” in Ukraine.
“What have you done China threatened or pressured by this crisis? We did not take a direct part and did not supply weapons. We have published a peace proposal document,” Qin said.
The Kremlin, in turn, confirmed that it pays great attention to Chinese considerations, but there are no prerequisites for a peaceful settlement of the situation yet.
The situation in Bakhmut
Authorities imposed Russia Ukraine’s Donetsk region said on Tuesday that Russian forces control about half of the territory of the city of Bakhmut, the epicenter of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
“Our artillery, our equipment and our troops are inside. They control almost half of Artemovsk (the Russian name for Bakhmut),” Yan Gagin, an adviser to Donetsk interim leader Denis Pushilin, told Russian television.
Gagin assured that Bakhmut had become a “butcher’s shop” for Ukrainian troops.
However, he did not rule out attempts by the security forces Ukraine conduct offensive operations in the city to prevent its fall.
Earlier, Russian experts claimed that Moscow forces control about 40% of the territory of Bakhmut, where hostilities began more than eight months ago.
For his part, the head of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, admitted on Monday that the soldiers Ukraine they would defend the besieged city “to the end”.
“They will fight for Artemovsk to the end, it’s obvious,” Prigogine wrote on his Telegram account.
