Police in the English county of Devon found an unconscious 14-year-old Ukrainian girl on the beach. The girl eventually died at the hospital. This was reported by the British television channel Sky News on its website on Monday, March 6.
A report of a missing teenage girl in the Dawlish area of Devon was received on Saturday evening, March 3rd. A search for the missing child was conducted with the support of the police helicopter and the Coast Guard.
As a result, a Ukrainian woman was found unconscious on the beach in Dawlish. He was flown by helicopter to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he later died.
Police said the identity of the girl has been ascertained. His relatives have been informed.
“The deceased girl was a Ukrainian national living in the Dawlish area; the Ukrainian embassy was contacted, and the Home Office was also informed of this incident,” said Detective Becky Davis of Devon and Cornwall Police.
The cause of the child’s death is under investigation. In addition, police are asking anyone with CCTV footage that could help the investigation to come forward.
