Donald Trump’s fascinating hurricane theories are clearly not limited to just nuclear attack.
In his first year in office, the former president repeatedly asked national security aides if China had secret technologies or weapons capable of creating storms and shooting them in the United States. According to Rolling Stone.
Citing two unnamed former administration officials and a third person familiar with the matter, the magazine reported that Trump repeatedly asked if it was an act of war and asked if the United States could respond.
“He’s almost too dumb for words,” a former White House spokesman told Rolling Stone. “I didn’t realize he was joking.”
The investigation has been derided by some official boards as an “assault weapon,” according to the magazine.
China has tried to change the weather To protect agricultural regions or to improve major events such as the Olympics. However, there is no evidence that the country has the technology to produce large storms and then destroy them around the world.
In the first year of Trump’s rule, Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico and two powerful hurricanes hit the U.S. mainland, Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
As president, Trump has repeatedly posted headlines on bizarre climate-related nonsense, including the infamous Sharpiegate incident in 2019, in which he picked up a map of Hurricane Dorian, which appears to have been altered to reflect a slight potential storm. (Trump incorrectly tweeted the day before Alabama was likely on the run of a hurricane.)
Trump later explicitly rejected the proposal.
He was also confused by the package of comments on his stance on climate change. He called it “fraud” and also said it was “very important to me”. Once, in 2012, Trump claimed that climate change was “created by the Chinese and for them to make U.S. manufacturing uncompetitive.” He later said he was joking.
