Zeman noted that security interests are higher than economic ones. Therefore, cooperation with the Russian Federation ended.
Former Czech President Milos Zeman said in an interview on local television CNN Prima News that he considered Russia “exclusive as a source of cheap energy”, but this relationship changed after Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, reports of novosti.rs.
“But I said many times that security interests are higher than economic ones. Therefore, cooperation ended with Putin’s crazy mistake, if you like, a crime when he attacked Ukraine. So, the red line has been crossed,” said Zeman.
At the same time, according to him, he sees no reason to stop economic cooperation with Beijing, as China is allegedly “moving away from Russia” and its actions towards Ukraine.
We will remind, earlier Zeman said that he will force the Russian Federation to leave Ukraine.
He also said he was considering possible new terrorist attacks in Europe as a result of “NATO’s surrender in Afghanistan.”
