Some areas close to war zones are extending the curfew on their own, and the Minister considers such decisions entirely justified.
In the territories of Ukraine where there is no fighting, there are no plans to cancel the curfew. This was stated by the Minister of Interior of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky on the air of the telethon.
“I think it’s too early to talk about the complete abolition of the curfew in some areas where there is no fighting, because there is still a huge risk,” Monastyrsky said.
The minister noted that some areas near war zones were independently extending the curfew, and he considered such decisions entirely justified.
“Time shows that the curfew has justified itself. It allows you to prevent the penetration of sabotage groups into the territory, including the central and western regions of Ukraine. Therefore, my personal view that we still have to live with a curfew for some. time, “said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In particular, Monastyrsky stressed that in Ukraine on May 8-9 there may be provocations and attacks by saboteurs, so law enforcement officers worked in an enhanced mode, and a more long curfews in some areas have contributed to the safety of local residents.
Recall that the duration of the curfew has been reduced in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
